We exist to make sure none of them are forgotten.
In 2002, millions of ordinary people were counted, recorded, recognised, and given a voice as citizens of their country. Then those records were filed away. Bound into thousands of fading pages, scanned, and locked behind a format almost no one could read. For two decades, they sat in silence.
In 2026, they suddenly mattered again. A fresh revision of the voter rolls meant that a single 2002 entry, whether your own, a parent's, or a husband's, could be the difference between keeping your vote with a single click and scrambling for documents you may never have owned. For the elderly, the poor, the displaced, and those who cannot read English, that difference is not small. It is everything.
We could not accept that a person's place in their own country might depend on whether they could decipher an unreadable file. So we set out to do one stubborn thing: bring those forgotten records back into the light, searchable by anyone, in their own language, for free.
It was not easy. The records did not want to be read. But one constituency at a time, millions of names returned. Findable again by a name half-remembered, a father's name, or a door number on a house that may no longer stand.
Today a daughter can find her late father in seconds. A widow can show she was always here. A young worker can secure their place on the roll without losing a day's wage in a queue. A family that moved, struggled, and was nearly overlooked can simply be found.
We are not a company chasing a market. We are a group of young people who believe technology should serve the people who need it most. That being counted is a right, not a privilege. And that no one should be quietly erased simply because their record was hard to read.
